Atal'Aman
The short version
- West Zul'Aman (Eversong border).
- Ritual Interrupted, Toadly Unbecoming, Totem Annihilation.
- Ritual Interrupted, Toadly Unbecoming and Totem Annihilation end at Spiritflayer Jin'Ma.
- Season 2, Venomous Vapors: final boss Disciple of Vashnik (also in Shadowguard Point).
Route
- Ritual: rescue kidnapped Spiritpaw furbolgs across the delve.
- Ritual: then stop the ritual at Nalorakk's Shrine by beating the waves of enemies there.
- Toadly: dispel hexed Amani with Vilebranch Hex Stick while killing invaders.
- Totem: destroy cursed totems to free Akil'zon; use eagles for alternate approaches.
- Venomous Vapors: follow Marla and talk to her. Then open the 2 chests in the first room: the Gauntlet Chest and the Rune Chest.
- Venomous Vapors: the Fire Gauntlet gives you venomous fireball: throw it into a Toxic Cloud to blow it up (stand clear). The Springstep Rune gives you springstep rune: it makes you jump very high.
- Venomous Vapors: defeat the 5 Venom Vipers and ignite Toxic Clouds until the bar is full. The Disciple of Vashnik waits at the end.
Trash
- Interrupt Vilebranch casts.
- Totem variant: prioritize totems on the path.
- Totem variant: the captured Loa drops lightning circles on the ground. Step out at once: they go off fast and hit hard.
- Pull beasts away from hexed NPCs you are trying to save.
- Venomous Vapors: the Venom Vipers are part of the objective, so kill all 5.
Bosses
- Spiritflayer Jin'Ma: flaying knife splits spirits — each collected spirit gives +10% damage (pick them up deliberately).
- Spiritflayer Jin'Ma: for 6 seconds after the knife, its damage also hits the spirits near you. Wait until it ends, then walk over them.
- Spiritflayer Jin'Ma: dodge raging spirits on the floor. It also hurts your spirits, so first grab any spirit standing in a marked spot.
- Spiritflayer Jin'Ma: before claim spirits ends, grab your spirits or Jin'Ma gains their buff.
- Disciple of Vashnik: always interrupt malignance, a 4-second volley of venom globs that stack damage and slow you. Valeera does not kick it every time, so do it yourself.
- Disciple of Vashnik: toxic froth is heavy poison damage for 8 seconds, and hiding behind a wall no longer helps. Cleanse the poison if your class can, use a defensive, or set Valeera to healer; grab the healing orbs after it.
- Disciple of Vashnik: living venom knocks you back and calls a slime. Step out of the area around him and kill the slime before it reaches you. On Tier 11 many players call him the hardest boss this season: drop a tier if you keep dying.
Collegiate Calamity
The short version
- Northwest Silvermoon / Eversong Woods (Thalassian University).
- Academy Under Siege -> Voidscorned Vagrant.
- Faculty of Fear -> Infiltrator Garand.
- Invasive Glow -> Hydrangea.
- Academic Antitoxin (on the map: An Elementary Antidote): no final boss. A treasure appears instead.
Route
- Academy Under Siege: talk to Thalandri Fatesinger. Then activate 4 Arcane Wards and kill Devouring Host to fill the bar.
- Faculty of Fear: Eye of Revelation — suspicious students glow yellow through walls.
- Invasive Glow: Deweeder kills small Lightbloom and damages large ones.
- Invasive Glow: first kill 70 Weedlings in the Library. Then destroy 5 Luminbulbs on the main level and kill Lightbloom to fill the bar.
- Academic Antitoxin: speak to Sir Finley Mrrgglton, then gather 10 Research Tomes.
- Academic Antitoxin: then collect ingredients and give the antidote to 7 Envenomed Denizens. Both count at the same time.
- Academic Antitoxin: the ingredient bar needs 400. Small ingredients give 2, medium ones 20 and big ones 35, so grab the big ones.
- Academic Antitoxin: fungal pharmacon cleans the poison pools and also hits enemies within 5 yards of where it lands.
Trash
- Academy Under Siege: Domanaar Enforcers cast Void Crash, a circle around them that hits hard. Step out of it.
- Academy Under Siege: Shadowguard Phaseblades hit hard in a frontal cone. Do not stand in front of them.
- Faculty: reveal disguised students, then kill before they ambush.
- Faculty of Fear: interrupt Sullen Shadowball from Twilight Ogre Mages and Malicious Ray from Shadowburn Vortexes.
- Invasive Glow: the Deweeder is thrown, not channeled. One throw kills all Weedlings and Luminbulbs nearby, so gather a few Weedlings first.
- Invasive Glow: Stumpspreaders cast Blooming Bile, a frontal cone. Sidestep it.
Bosses
- Hydrangea (Glow): kill wildroot weave roots before lightbloom salvo; dodge light zones.
- Garand (Faculty): dodge shadow laceration or use a defensive; spread for twilight crash jumps.
- Garand (Faculty): the students start the fight trapped. Stand in a student's purple circle to free them. It hurts you, so use a defensive.
- Voidscorned Vagrant (Siege): sidestep void eruption; always interrupt terrifying power.
- Hydrangea and Voidscorned Vagrant: students fight with you. When one is knocked out, stand on them to heal them back up.
- Academic Antitoxin: there is no final boss. The treasure appears when the last step is done.
Gnarldor Isle
The short version
- New in 12.1, on the Coiled Isle — entrance at Gnarldor Isle (64.3, 77.7). Scrollmaster Ruma stands at the entrance. Her quest It's a Satchel, Not a Bag sends you inside once, for her satchel: Ruma's Satchel (25.40, 34.73).
- Three stories, two bosses. Olds and Ends and Speaking Their Language end at Gralka Snake-Eater. Minchi's Osseous Adventure ends at Osseous Amalgamation.
- Click the Tortollan Scrolls you pass — buffs, some with a catch.
Route
- Three Sturdy Chests — click to set a waypoint: Sturdy Chest 1 (60.44, 68.12) · Sturdy Chest 2 (52.41, 40.84) · Sturdy Chest 3 (28.67, 41.69).
- You arrive at about 77, 46; the exit portal stands right there — sweep the chests and you end where you began.
- Olds and Ends: talk to Tormunda, then rescue 8 tortollan elders and collect their relics. Relics drop from gnarldin, lie on the ground and sit in bags, so loot every bag you pass.
- Speaking Their Language: talk to Artolla, free 3 turtles and pick up the ship supplies: powder, cannon shot and swivel guns. The yellow minimap markers lead you to them.
- Speaking Their Language: then ride a War Turtle and kill 50 gnarldin. You fight Gralka Snake-Eater on foot; the turtle does not come with you.
- Minchi's Osseous Adventure: click 4 bone piles. Each one calls waves of enemies, so heal up first. There are more piles than you need.
- Minchi's Osseous Adventure: take 6 Gnarldin Hearts from gnarldin corpses, then go to the bridge for Minchi's ritual. The boss appears there.
Trash
- Stonerender Raider: its charge stuns you for 2.5 seconds. Then comes muckwave, a 4 second cone. Step out of the front.
- Tuskcrusher Outrider: Stampede hits hard and knocks you away. Fight it where the knockback cannot throw you into another pack.
- Earthcaller Shaman: interrupt Mud Bolt.
Bosses
- Gralka Snake-Eater: snake eater: she eats two snakes and poison splashes on the floor. Pull her out of it. Each snake makes her take 15% more damage.
- Gralka Snake-Eater: venomblade slash poisons her target. It hurts more for every snake she has eaten. Heal through it.
- Gralka Snake-Eater: purging breath is a 6 second channel: she breathes at her target every 2 seconds. Sidestep every wave.
- Gralka Snake-Eater: do not interrupt Purging Breath. Let it run and keep dodging; a wave can kill you in one hit.
- Gralka Snake-Eater: put Valeera on Healer for this fight. On DPS she interrupts, and then she also interrupts Purging Breath.
- Osseous Amalgamation: bone armor osseous is a 2 second cast that gives him a big shield. Interrupt it.
- Osseous Amalgamation: bonestorm osseous hits everyone within 8 yards for 8 seconds. Run out and wait for it to end.
- Osseous Amalgamation: bone spike osseous raises spikes under your feet, and they stun. Keep moving and step off the marks.
- Osseous Amalgamation: frost strike osseous slows you by 50% for 6 seconds. Keep a movement ability ready so Bonestorm cannot catch you.
Parhelion Plaza
The short version
- West Isle of Quel'Danas (Sunwell area).
- The entrance is hidden inside a spire: go in on the second floor, then take the stairs down to the lower floor.
- Unlocks with March on Quel'Danas (late March 2026).
- Bombing Run, Holding the Line and March of the Arcane Brigade end at Gladius Slaurna.
- One of the harder Midnight delves.
- Caustic Crush (new in 12.1): Slime Shamen of Ula'tek summon slimes and send waves of poison. The last goal is a Ritual Pillar, not Gladius Slaurna.
Route
- Bombing Run: Improvised Arcane Device for void portals (40s carry limit; drop in combat).
- Holding the Line: Tempest Keep weapons + rebuild barricades.
- March of the Arcane Brigade: wake the Sentinel machines; they walk to the void pylons. Destroy 3 pylons and kill Devouring Host to fill the bar.
- Caustic Crush: talk to Vindicator Xayann. Then kill the slimes, 4 Shaman Slimecallers and 6 Ula'tek Wavecallers.
- Caustic Crush: pick up fungal pharmacon on the way. Throw it on the Ula'tek Poison Pools to clean them. It also hurts enemies near where it lands.
- Caustic Crush: the goals also ask you to use a burrow. The very last goal is to destroy the Ritual Pillar.
Trash
- Bombing Run: never leave a portal before you blow it up. It closes for good and you cannot finish the run.
- Clear Devouring Host waves before Slaurna.
- Domanaar Enforcers cast Void Crash, a circle around them that hits hard. Step out of it.
- Shadowguard Phasehunters hit hard in a frontal cone. Keep them turned away from you and Valeera.
- Caustic Crush: dodge every poison wave. A hit stuns you and deals heavy Nature damage.
Bosses
- Gladius Slaurna: kill his three Sacrificial Voidcallers fast and interrupt their Void Bolt.
- Gladius Slaurna: every Voidcaller still alive when devouring nova ends makes him hit harder and take less damage. On high tiers that can wipe you.
- Gladius Slaurna: step out of the voidscar raze line. It often aims at Valeera, so do not stand between them.
- Gladius Slaurna: fight near the center, so devouring nova cannot knock you off the platform.
- Caustic Crush: Gladius Slaurna is not the end here. The last goal is to destroy the Ritual Pillar.
Shadowguard Point
The short version
- West Voidstorm (north of Abundant Voidburrow).
- Four variants. In three you fight the Shadowguard Ethereals; in Basilisk Blitz you help them take the point back.
- Final boss in three variants: Chief-Arcanist Patram. Basilisk Blitz ends at the Disciple of Vashnik instead.
- Season 2, Basilisk Blitz: final boss Disciple of Vashnik (also in Atal'Aman).
Route
- Calamitous: overload Void Stabilizers with Arcane Charges (speed buff; explosions kill mobs — do not stand in them).
- Captured Wildlife: free void creatures (their AoE can still hit you).
- Captured Wildlife: then talk to Lysikas and take the bait. Walk up to each of the 4 shielded Void Researchers: an extra button appears, and the bait finishes them.
- Stolen Mana: pick up the rifle and use Galvanic Blast on the mana containers until the Arcane Barrier drops.
- Stolen Mana: also free the 8 captives from the Mana Siphoners.
- Basilisk Blitz: talk to the wounded ethereal at the start. Then reconfigure the Energy Distributor and kill the Ula'tek Basilisk.
- Basilisk Blitz: use the Waygate to move on. Then reconfigure the 4 Power Generators and kill the 4 Energized Basilisks.
- Basilisk Blitz: the Disciple of Vashnik only becomes your goal after all 4 Energized Basilisks are dead.
Trash
- Calamitous: plan overloads safely while carrying Arcane Charges.
- Ethereal packs: interrupt casts.
- Wildlife variant: give freed creatures space.
- Basilisk Blitz: while a basilisk's barrier holds, it throws poison bolts at you. Walking into the barrier stuns you for a few seconds.
- Shadowguard Phasehunter: step out of Corporal Cleave, a frontal cone. With two Phasehunters there is little room left, so pull one at a time.
- Shadowguard Steelsoul: when its shield breaks, it pulses damage around it. Kill it fast then.
- Stolen Mana: a big mana barrel you shoot makes a circle that hurts and knocks you back. Get out before it goes off.
Bosses
- Chief-Arcanist Patram: interrupt void bolt patram.
- Chief-Arcanist Patram: after dark communion an add appears. Kill it before its cast ends: you get Versatility and faster cooldowns. If it lives, Patram gets the buff instead.
- Chief-Arcanist Patram: submit to the void flows into you and stacks: every 1.5 seconds you take damage and deal 5% less damage. Interrupt it.
- Chief-Arcanist Patram: sidestep discordant hymn void zones (slow + damage).
Sunkiller Sanctum
The short version
- East Voidstorm (Voidspire entrance).
- Core of the Problem and The Gravitational Effect end at Esuritus. Not What I Expected has no boss.
- Not What I Expected: no boss — ends after 3 Corrupted Umbraroot kills.
Route
- Core of the Problem: portals + stop Domanaar stealing Energized Orbs (orb buff: speed + damage reduction).
- Not What I Expected: click 7 Lightbloom Crates, use the Sanctum Security Panel and fill the kill bar (Lightbloom and Void enemies both count). Then kill 3 Corrupted Umbraroot.
- Gravitational Effect: click a Micro Singularity to get pulled into the air. Up there, collect 5 Singularity Coils from the consoles.
- Gravitational Effect: then kill void enemies to fill the bar, and put the 5 coils into the Stabilizers. That breaks Esuritus's shield.
- Not What I Expected: run through a Displacement Portal. A copy of you then fights at your side for about 5 minutes.
Trash
- Pick up orbs in Core variant for survivability.
- Not What I Expected: the 3 Corrupted Umbraroot are elites. Pull them one at a time.
- Not What I Expected: interrupt the Lightbloom Beam of the Corrupted Umbraroot, and sidestep Blooming Bile (a frontal that spawns adds) and Rotting Charge (it leaves a puddle).
- Controlled Slaughterclaw: a big elite that hits hard. Its Seismic Stomp puts a circle under you: step out, and do not pull two at once.
- Domanaar Enforcer: it casts a circle around itself. Step out of it.
- Voidcaller Obliviator: interrupt Curse of Dread. It does heavy damage over time and slows you.
Bosses
- Kill all Voidcallers before gorge or he gains +damage for 30s per devour.
- Interrupt calling bolt.
- When coalescing malediction ends or is dispelled, a Voidcaller spawns. Dispel it only when you are ready to kill that add.
- Dodge crushing rift: a 5-second cast that hits everything within 16 yards of him. Walk away. It spawns 4 Voidcallers.
- While Voidcallers live, debris falls on the floor. Step out of the circles.
The Darkway
The short version
- North Silvermoon / Eversong Woods (the Arcway).
- Focusers Under Pressure, Leyline Technician, Ogre Powered (7 Unstable Aberrations).
- Focusers, Leyline, Ogre Powered -> Infiltrator Gulkat.
- Eggsplosive Growth (12.1) -> Replicating Venomborne.
Route
- Focusers: find ley line focusers and return them to the delve center.
- Leyline: tap conduits once per line to empower three focus crystals.
- Ogre Powered: kill 7 Unstable Aberrations in the middle section before Gulkat.
- Eggsplosive Growth: talk to Technician Mireille. Then cleanse 7 Venom Clogged Ley Lines, destroy 45 Pulsating Clutches (eggs) and kill nesting serpents to fill the bar.
- Eggsplosive Growth: you do not have to click every egg. Cleansing a Venom Clogged Ley Line also destroys eggs.
Trash
- Interrupt Twilight Seekers and Arcane Deluge on aberrations.
- Leyline variant: kill Twilight's Blade while routing power.
- Pull away from corners in narrow Arcway halls.
- Shadowtaint Anomalies cast Arcane Slicer: a beam aimed at you that fires after a short delay. Sidestep it, even in melee.
Bosses
- Interrupt Twilight Seekers.
- Dodge abyssal burst (frontal cone).
- illusory deceit: exploding illusions — keep distance while handling Gulkat.
- Replicating Venomborne: kill the Lesser Venomborne from serpentogenesis at once — alive at his next cast, they heal him; step out of venom splash venomborne pools (damage + slow); hydra strike leaves a stacking DoT.
The Grudge Pit
The short version
- Southeast Harandar.
- Lightbloom Invasion -> Brightthorn.
- Arena Champion -> Gyrospore.
- Dastardly Rotstalk -> Mycomight.
- Fungal Pharmacon -> Replicating Venomborne.
Route
- Arena Champion: beat up the fighters, kill Bogdamp, Moldrus and 5 Spewing Deathcaps, collect 6 Mold Samples and plant your banner. Then Gyrospore comes.
- Dastardly Rotstalk: heel role — punt fans, taunt crowd (can move while taunting).
- Dastardly Rotstalk: to taunt the crowd, press the extra action button while you stand in one of the moving spotlights.
- Lightbloom Invasion: free 6 Entangled Fighters and kill 8 Lightbloom attackers. Then defend the barricades.
- Lightbloom Invasion: next, 3 Unstoppable Thornmaws run around. You cannot hit them: kill the enemies near the Bomb Spores, then click the spores. Each one blows up a Thornmaw. Then Brightthorn comes.
- Fungal Pharmacon: talk to the Flustered Fungarian. Then go down into the Ula'tek Burrows under the arena.
- Fungal Pharmacon: pick up fungal pharmacon and throw it at the 4 Lesser Ritual Pillars (blue on your minimap).
- Fungal Pharmacon: then go back to the Grudge Pit. Replicating Venomborne waits there.
Trash
- Arena Champion: use the friendly Sporbits. They deal bonus damage to the arena fighters.
- Lightbloom Invasion: clear the waves before the boss.
- Rotstalk: keep crowd control — fans hurt if ignored.
Bosses
- Brightthorn: sidestep solar charge (leaves Overbloom zones); interrupt bloom thorn; turn away before blinding burst.
- Gyrospore: dodge fungalstorm zones, then burst during 10s dizzy; step back from fungsplosion; sidestep fungal charge.
- Mycomight: drop rancid rain puddles away from fight area; dodge fungis fist shockwaves; sidestep fling chair.
- Replicating Venomborne: kill the Lesser Venomborne from serpentogenesis at once — alive at his next cast, they heal him; step out of venom splash venomborne pools (damage + slow); hydra strike leaves a stacking DoT.
- Gyrospore: DBM and your delve history call this fight Spinshroom, a name Blizzard reused from an old boss. It is the same fight.
The Gulf of Memory
The short version
- West Harandar (Den of Echoes / Har'alnor).
- Three variants.
- Bosses: Lumenia (Munchies / Sporasaur) and Mul'tha'ul (Descent of the Haranir).
Route
- Alnmoth Munchies: extra-action Alnmoth Storm while moving — devour bushes or help vs Rutaani.
- Descent: light giant candles; more damage taken in dark areas.
- Sporasaur: kick green-reticle Sporbits into Sporasaurs to remove their shield.
Trash
- Stay in lit areas during Descent.
- Sporasaur Special: kick Sporbits before they explode.
- Alnmoth Munchies: channel Alnmoth Storm while moving — you can move and cast.
- Sapstick Lurker: avoid its circles on the floor. Step in one and it drops from the ceiling, grabs you and stuns you for a few seconds.
- Radiant Chloromancer: interrupt Blooming Shield, or it gets a big absorb shield.
Bosses
- Lumenia: kill the radiant command add before it reaches you (it explodes).
- Lumenia: dodge searing light patches unless you use them on the add.
- Mul'tha'ul: interrupt or dispel hopeless curse.
- Mul'tha'ul: can you do neither? Set Valeera to healer: she dispels the curse.
- Mul'tha'ul: kite away from the tear it down tentacles.
- Mul'tha'ul: keep your distance during unanswered call. He walks slowly but hits very hard.
The Ring of Glory
The short version
- New in 12.1, on the Coiled Isle — entrance at The Ring of Glory (71.1, 56.4). Three stories: Open Night and Game Day end at Drakta, Adopt-a-thon ends at Gnok.
- Open Night is the long one: clear the arena floor, then fight champions one by one: Crushfoot, the Bluegill Brothers, Brinebeater, Guth'kar the Bound, three Arena champions, and Drakta last.
- Crushfoot charges, and the charge is what kills people. Crowd control stops it — a stun or a knockback, confirmed in game. Players also report two towers with glowing blue orbs that teleport you across when he starts; we have not tested those ourselves.
Route
- Three Sturdy Chests — click to set a waypoint: Sturdy Chest 1 (44.16, 22.60) · Sturdy Chest 2 (25.19, 73.74) · Sturdy Chest 3 (48.56, 94.84).
- The exit is at Exit (80.10, 53.69).
- Open Night: clear the arena floor 4 times. On high tiers some of these enemies are nemesis mobs, so pull with care.
- Open Night: in the Bluegill Brothers round, kill the two small casters first and interrupt them.
- Open Night: interrupt Brinebeater's Tidal Rage, and leave the Break Water circles before they throw you up.
- Open Night: interrupt Curse of Dread from Guth'kar the Bound. In the champions round, focus Hexspitter Zit'ka and interrupt her.
- Game Day: play Headball. Skulls lie around and drop from enemies; click one to kick it about 25 yards ahead. Score 8 goals in the four big obelisks.
- Game Day: after each goal, flying masks circle that obelisk and block your shots. Two goals on each of the four obelisks is the easy way to 8.
- Adopt-a-thon: rescue 8 baby animals and fill the bar by killing enemies. The animals run from you: push them into a corner, or use the snacks lying around.
- Adopt-a-thon: chasing an animal easily pulls an extra pack. Look where it runs before you follow.
Trash
- Restless Spiritcaller: interrupt Soul Siphon, it heals the caster. Step out of the line of soul impale spikes.
- Arisen Warsinger: kill the War Drum it plants. The drum gives nearby enemies 20% haste and stays after the Warsinger dies.
- Stonesoul Specter: whirling spirit hits everyone within 10 yards and makes you take 50% more Shadow damage for 30 seconds. Step away during the 3 second cast.
- Floor traps everywhere: hex pile turns you into a frog for up to a minute (damage breaks it), and thrusting spear slows you by 33%. Watch your step.
Watch out
- The golem's Fissuring Slam cannot be interrupted. A kick does nothing — the cast bar carries the shield.
- It lands under you, so you cannot dodge the hit. Stun it, or use a defensive. Then walk off the cracked ground: it keeps hurting and slows you by 30%.
- It only shows up in the higher tiers, and not alone: on Tier 11 there were three of them, roaming loose. They can be pulled one at a time — do that. Two together is two slams you cannot interrupt.
- Midnight Helper cannot warn you the moment it starts: since 12.1 an addon can no longer see which spell an enemy is casting. That is why this note is here instead.
Bosses
- Drakta: soul cleave drakta is a 3 second cast that hits everyone within 15 yards and leaves a spirit tear behind. Get out, then pull him off it.
- Drakta: roar of the champion makes him hit 50% harder but move 80% slower. Stay out of his reach until it wears off.
- Drakta: he pulls his farthest target to him. A pillar between you can block it. If you cannot reach one in time, have a defensive ready.
- Gnok: upheaval gnok is a 4 second cast. He leaps onto his target and leaves ruptured ground gnok. Move out of it once he lands.
- Gnok: when he dies he gets up again as an undead ape with full health. You kill him twice.
- Gnok: undead, he casts necrotic upheaval gnok, a line of eruptions ahead of him. It turns old Ruptured Ground into necrotic ground gnok. Sidestep it and stay off old pools.
- Gnok: ejecting decay throws rotting chunks around. Each one hits a small spot, so watch the floor and step into the gaps.
The Shadow Enclave
The short version
- Southwest Eversong Woods (Ruins of Deatholme).
- Four variants: Mirror Shine, Shadowy Supplies, Traitor's Due, and Infiltrate and Ameliorate (new in 12.1).
- Traitor's Due: stop rituals, void orbs, cultists (leveling).
- Mirror Shine, Shadowy Supplies and Traitor's Due end at Lord Antenorian. Infiltrate and Ameliorate ends at Abominable Blunder.
Route
- Mirror Shine: carry mirrors through dark halls; hit Shadow Nexuses to spread light (avoids grues).
- Shadowy Supplies: loot Twilight's Blade valuables from mobs or the ground.
- Traitor's Due: chase Antenorian through the delve to the boss room.
- Infiltrate and Ameliorate: talk to Scout Lok'aemon, then kick 5 Ula'tek Summoners into the abyss.
- Infiltrate and Ameliorate: sabotage 4 cauldrons by adding odd ingredients. Some ingredients sit up high: use the jumping mushrooms.
- Infiltrate and Ameliorate: next, kill the Ula'tek Supreme Summoner and watch the summoning. After that comes Abominable Blunder, the final boss.
- Infiltrate and Ameliorate: pick up fungal pharmacon and throw it on the poison pools to clean them. It also hurts enemies near where it lands.
Trash
- Mirror Shine: in mirror light, you and enemies get Dazzled: 25% more chance to take a critical hit.
- Interrupt shadow casters.
- Interrupt first: Sullen Shadowball from Twilight Ogre Mages and Malicious Ray from Shadowburn Vortexes.
- Traitor's Due and Shadowy Supplies: floating Eyes of Antenorian search the delve. If one spots you, it blasts a cone that hits hard and knocks you back.
- Eyes of Antenorian: the blast also hurts enemies. Pull elites into it.
- Clear Twilight's Blade during Supplies.
- Do not stack in hazardous ground; pull carefully in tight corridors.
Bosses
- Lord Antenorian: interrupt shadow bolt whenever you can.
- Lord Antenorian: his teleports leave a damaging puddle. Keep him near the center.
- Lord Antenorian: shadowveil annihilation is a deadly channel. Destroy the 3 Shadow Orbs: only the orb without a shield takes damage, and each kill removes the next shield.
- Lord Antenorian: with all orbs dead his shield breaks, the channel stops, and he takes extra damage for a few seconds.
- Lord Antenorian: save your burst for the orbs. Valeera helps break them.
- Abominable Blunder (Infiltrate and Ameliorate): Corrosive Bile is his basic poison attack. Heal through it.
- Abominable Blunder (Infiltrate and Ameliorate): searing spew hurts and slows everyone within 14 yards of him. Move away when he casts it.
- Abominable Blunder (Infiltrate and Ameliorate): Acid Spray sends waves of acid for a few seconds. Keep sidestepping until it ends.
Torment's Rise
The short version
- Southeast Voidstorm, between Nexus-Point Xenas and Obscurion Citadel.
- Season 1 Nemesis Delve. Season 1 is over: the Nullaeus rewards can no longer be earned.
- The Season 2 Nemesis is Azta'rec, in Venomfall Deeps on the Coiled Isle.
- Season 1 rule: Tier ? after any T7 with 1+ life; Tier ?? after any T10 with 1+ life.
- Boss: Nullaeus.
- Valeera: set her to Healer if you tank or deal damage, so she dispels devouring essence. Are you a healer yourself? Set her to DPS, so she interrupts emptiness of the void.
Route
- Dedicated instance portal (not a rotating world delve).
- Use Adventure Guide (Shift-J) or TomTom.
- Beacon of Hope was a Season 1 item. In Season 2 the Scalebound Herald's Flute (5,000 Undercoin) calls Azta'rec into a delve instead.
Trash
- Pactsworn mobs live in regular delves, not inside Torment's Rise.
- Pace cooldowns — save defensives and interrupts for Nullaeus.
Bosses
- Nullaeus: always interrupt emptiness of the void. If it goes through, it hits the whole room and can kill you in one go.
- Nullaeus: devouring essence is a magic damage-over-time on one player. Dispel it, or let Valeera do it as Healer.
- Nullaeus: imploding strike hits hard. Tanks: use a defensive for it.
- Nullaeus: at 75%, 50% and 25% he becomes immune (oblivion shell) and calls adds. Damage on him is wasted then: kill the adds. After at most 30 seconds he fights again.
- Nullaeus: the adds are 2 Razorshell Ravagers at 75% (they leave a bleed), 7 Spitting Ticks at 50% (use AoE) and one Enslaved Voidcaster at 25%.
- Nullaeus: interrupt the Enslaved Voidcaster at most once, so your interrupt is ready for emptiness of the void.
- Nullaeus: after 75%, void goo covers lanes of the floor. Do not stand in it.
- Nullaeus: after 50%, a Gravity Well drifts around and pulls you in. Stay far away from it.
- Nullaeus: after 25% he gains umbral rage: +10% damage per stack, again and again. Save your big cooldowns for this last part.
Twilight Crypts
The short version
- Southwest Zul'Aman (Broken Throne).
- Loosed Loa (avoid Mot'amra), Party Crasher, Trapped!, and new in 12.1: Why'd it have to be snakes?
- Loosed Loa, Party Crasher and Trapped! end at Blademaster Darza. Why'd it have to be snakes? ends at Replicating Venomborne.
Route
- Loosed Loa: kill 5 Vilebranch Skeleton Charmers and destroy 6 totems.
- Loosed Loa: Mot'amra roams the middle of the delve. You see his red outline through walls; do not cross his path.
- Loosed Loa: the Evasive Elixir (extra action button) turns you into a pot for 4 seconds and you take no damage. Use it when Mot'amra comes your way.
- Loosed Loa: since the 10 Sep hotfix, Explorer's League Supplies and an Abandoned Restoration Stone appear in this variant.
- Party Crasher: kill the 4 Twilight Summoners (they show on your map) and pull 7 Suspicious Levers. Bear traps stun you for about 2 seconds.
- Trapped: save hostages and find levers through the maze.
- Why'd it have to be snakes?: help Harrison Jones find the lost relics in the crypts.
- Why'd it have to be snakes?: stepping on the snakes is part of the goal, but they explode when you step on them.
- Why'd it have to be snakes?: pick up fungal pharmacon and throw it on poison patches to clean them.
Trash
- Mot'amra hits hard with knockback if you walk into him.
- Party Crasher: watch trap tiles.
- Interrupt Twilight's Blade summoners.
- Fleshwarped Abomination: at low health it casts Reconstitution and heals 90% of its health. You cannot interrupt it: stun it.
- Hexbound Necrowraith: interrupt Necrotic Bolt. Step out of the circle that Necromantic Upheaval puts around you before the cast ends.
Bosses
- Blademaster Darza: sidestep shade cleave. Fighting close stops her dark pursuit gap-closer.
- Blademaster Darza: when she casts bask in the twilight, run more than 10 yards away from her. It hits hard all around her.
- Blademaster Darza: it leaves a void zone on the floor. Do not stand in it, and drag Darza out of it: inside it she deals +30% damage.
- Blademaster Darza: the void zones pile up. Fight her near the edge of the room and move along the edge each time.
- Replicating Venomborne (Why'd it have to be snakes?): kill the Lesser Venomborne from serpentogenesis at once. If they are still alive at his next cast, they heal him.
- Replicating Venomborne (Why'd it have to be snakes?): step out of venom splash venomborne pools. They hurt and slow you.
- Replicating Venomborne (Why'd it have to be snakes?): hydra strike leaves poison damage on you that stacks. Watch the stacks and heal through it.
Venomfall Deeps
The short version
- The Season 2 Nemesis delve, in the north of the Coiled Isle — entrance at Venomfall Deeps (51.2, 31.0). Azta'rec is the boss.
- The door stays shut until you finish a Tier 7 or higher delve with lives left. For ?? you need Tier 10, also with lives left.
- Bring the recommended item level or the fight is not close: 290 for ? and 309 for ??. Those two numbers come from the delve entrance itself, so they are the game's own advice.
- Do a normal delve first if you are short. A Tier 8 Bountiful Coffer is 295, and its heavy chest can leave you with Blessing of Potency — +10% to all your stats inside delves, for 24 hours or until you finish your next delve. Coming in with that is a different fight.
- Valeera goes on Healer for almost everyone: she removes Void Toxin, which most specs cannot. Set her to DPS only if you heal yourself, and never to Tank here.
- Sources: the ability names are confirmed in the game data and in DBM. How to play the intermission still comes from community guides.
Watch out
- Wrath of Ula'tek kills you from full health. Nature damage, and your own death recap marks it Avoidable — so there is a way out and no defensive to press.
- It fires during the intermission, when the room is split into four quarters and three of them flood. Being caught also leaves you with +500% Nature damage taken for the rest of the fight, so a single miss ends the attempt even if you survive it.
- This delve gives out no coordinates. Blizzard blocked position tracking in here, so the route arrow and every waypoint stay silent — that is not Midnight Helper failing.
Bosses
- His abilities repeat in a fixed order: Noxious Bile, Void Toxin, Soul Extinction, Venom Storm. So you always know the third one is the kick.
- Soul Extinction is the one-shot. Interrupt it every time. Save your kick for it and let Valeera dispel Void Toxin instead of spending the interrupt there.
- Noxious Bile is a frontal that leaves pools. Aim it at the edge of the room and step out, so the middle stays clean for the intermission.
- venom storm sends slow waves of poison across the room. Walk through a gap, and do not step into old noxious bile pools while you do.
- At 90%, 60% and 30% he channels Sermon of Ula'tek and takes almost no damage. He shows one safe quarter per step, then repeats the same order with nothing shown. Remember the order, not just the first one.
- Move to the middle before each of those thresholds; he is fast and you can be caught outside. Four ground markers turn the pattern into numbers — type /mh mark before you pull.
- On ?? an Echo of Azta'rec appears at every intermission. Kill it before the sequence ends. You can stun the Echo, but not Azta'rec himself.
- The hidden sequence is 3, 4 and 5 steps long on ?, and 5, 6 and 7 steps long on ??.
- If you play a tank spec, he also casts serpents strike, a heavy physical hit. Keep a defensive ready for it.
