Your best gear with Raidbots, in 7 steps
Raidbots Top Gear tries every combination of the items you pick and tells you which one does the most damage. Trinket effects, set bonuses and talents all count. Midnight Helper writes the text Raidbots needs.
Test phase. /mh raidbots is new in Midnight Helper 4.3.0 and we are still testing it. Use it at your own risk and check the result with common sense.
In the game, type
/mh raidbots, or open your character sheet and click Best set from your bags: Raidbots (test) in the Midnight Helper panel next to it. A window opens with the text already selected.Press Ctrl+C to copy the text.
An addon cannot copy for you: World of Warcraft does not allow that, so this one step is yours.
Open Raidbots Top Gear. It is free and you do not need an account.
Click the tab SimC Addon, click in the big box and press Ctrl+V. Your character appears with your name, spec and gear.
A red label "Unverified Input" is normal: the text comes from Midnight Helper, not from the SimulationCraft addon.
Scroll to Gear. Next to each item you wear, the items from your bags are shown greyed out. Click the ones you want to compare, such as a second ring or a new trinket.
The more you pick, the longer it takes: Raidbots tests every combination.
Scroll down and click Find Top Gear. Turn off High Precision for a faster answer.
Free users can run a few of these per hour.
At the top of the result is your best combination and how much more damage it does than what you wear now. Put those items on in the game.
Good to know
- Tanks: Raidbots measures damage, not how well you survive. Treat its answer as advice.
- Our Armory gives a quick answer without a simulation. Raidbots gives the exact one.
- Raidbots is a separate website with its own rules. Midnight Helper is not part of Raidbots.
