How you play Frost Mage

Pile Freezing on the enemy with Frostbolt, then shatter it with Ice Lance.

Your buttons, most important first

Frozen Orb whenever it is ready. When Frostbolt turns into Glacial Spike, press it.
Brain Freeze lit up? Flurry.
Fingers of Frost lit up, or lots of Freezing on the enemy: Ice Lance.
Ray of Frost after those: it is your big beam. Stand still until it ends.
Nothing else? Frostbolt.

More enemies: 3 or more enemies: aim Frozen Orb at the pack, and cast Blizzard when it lights up (then it is instant).

Biggest mistake: Pressing Ray of Frost first because it is your big button. Spend Freezing with Ice Lance first, then the beam.

Hero talents

Spellslinger (best on one target): Ice Lance from 6 Freezing stacks on the enemy.

Frostfire (a bit better in dungeons): Frostfire Bolt replaces Frostbolt. Comet Storm when it shows. Ice Lance from 12 Freezing stacks.
