How you play Fire Mage

Crit twice in a row to light up Hot Streak, then throw a free, instant Pyroblast.

Your buttons, most important first

  1. Your big moment, every minute: Combustion with Meteor. Everything crits: chain Fire Blast and Pyroblast.
  2. Heating Up lit up? Fire Blast turns it into Hot Streak. It even works during another cast.
  3. Hot Streak lit up? Pyroblast. Best right as a Fireball finishes, so both land together.
  4. Pyroclasm lit up? Cast a slow Pyroblast: it hits much harder.
  5. Nothing else? Fireball. On the move: Scorch.
More enemies: 4 or more enemies: Flamestrike instead of Pyroblast when Hot Streak lights up.
Biggest mistake: Fire Blast sitting at full charges. Keep it recharging, but save 2 or 3 for Combustion.

Hero talents

Sunfury (best this season): when Combustion ends, Pyroblast is free and instant for a short while. Keep pressing it.
Frostfire: Frostfire Bolt replaces Fireball. When it lights up, it is instant and hits hard: cast it.
