How you play Blood Death Knight

Heal yourself with Death Strike and keep Bone Shield up with Marrowrend: that is your armor.

Your buttons, most important first

  1. Just took a big hit, or Runic Power above 70? Death Strike.
  2. Fewer than 5 Bone Shield charges? Marrowrend. Never let it drop off.
  3. Dancing Rune Weapon when ready. Stand in your Death and Decay; put it down again when it runs out.
  4. Blood Boil before it has all its charges. Nothing else ready? Heart Strike.
More enemies: Blood Boil more often: it hits every enemy around you. Keep Death and Decay under the pack.
Biggest mistake: Death Strike at full health. It heals for the damage of the last 5 seconds, so press it after a hit.

Hero talents

San'layn (best this season): during Dancing Rune Weapon, Blood Boil once, then just Vampiric Strike and Death Strike.
Deathbringer: Reaper's Mark first, then Dancing Rune Weapon. When Marrowrend lights up, use it before it runs out.

From the guides: Icy Veins 10 Aug · Method 4 Sep 2026. A patch can change this.

Group

Buttons you press for someone else or for the whole group. For one person: click their name first, then press the button. The grey note says when a button works differently.

Consumables

What to bring for this spec. Point at an item for its tooltip.

In the game this card knows your character. Every button shows the key it is on for you right now, the lists above drop whatever you have not learned, and your bags are checked for the consumables.
